What is Radiation Therapy? |
|||||||
|
Radiation therapy is the practice of using penetrating beams of high
energy waves or streams of particles called radiation to treat
cancer. Radiation therapy can be used to treat many kinds of
cancer in almost any part of the body. In fact, more than half of
all people with cancer are treated with some form of radiation.
Radiation therapy is delivered by a machine called a linear accelerator. Our machine can accommodate several types of treatment, including 3D conformal treatment.
